Discover Comfort Without Compromise with Mitsubishi Ductless Mini Split Air Conditioners

One of the most effective ways to cool your home is with a ductless mini split air conditioner. These systems are designed to take up as little space as possible because, as their name suggests, they do not require ductwork.

Product lines from Mitsubishi Electric combine the benefits of energy efficiency and space savings. Offering award winning comfort and 15 Energy Star rated options, Mitsubishi’s ductless systems can match the needs of any home.

Choosing a Mitsubishi Electric Air Conditioner

There a number of options in Mitsubishi’s lineup of ductless mini split air conditioners. Some of the factors you should consider include:

  • Efficiency – Mitsubishi ductless mini split air conditioning systems offer SEER ratings of up to 26, and 15 of their models are Energy Star rated. Without the need for ductwork, these systems can produce efficient cooling all summer.
  • Hyper Heating Inverter – Available on select models, H2i technology allows a Mitsubishi ductless system to work properly down to temperatures well below 0 degrees F. This makes them more effective during winter months in heating mode.
  • Size – Each indoor unit is sized for a specific output. You must choose both an outdoor unit and a combination of indoor units that match the specific cooling needs of your home.
  • Single Zone or Multi–Zone – Your outdoor unit can be either single or multi zone. This will determine whether you have more than one indoor unit after installation, recommended for multi–floor homes.

We can help you with many of these decisions and streamline this process.

Mitsubishi Ductless Mini Split Models

You must select both an outdoor unit and one or more indoor units to match the needs of your home. Each outdoor unit is rated for a specific range of operation. The most energy efficient models, such as the MUZ–FE09, offer SEER of up to 26 but are only sized up to 1 ton in most cases. Larger models like the KA09 are sized up to 4 tons for cooling.

For your indoor units, your selection depends mostly on the size of the space being cooled by that unit. While each indoor unit has a SEER rating (up to 26 for the FE09), you must also consider factors like where it will be mounted (most units are wall mounted) and whether you would like heat pump operability in the winter.
